limit skin ageing by free radical damage...

Picture
What are free radicals, and how do they affect your skin?
Free radicals are unstable molecules in the environment that damage your skin.  But don't worry, skin care products can help shield your skin from free radical damage.  Though it's easy to wash off dirt and debris from the day with your favourite cleanser, you can't erase the effects of all pollutants quite so easily. Just like pollutants, free radicals are everywhere, but the harm they cause can initially not be very noticeable, although in the longer term they cause an acceleration in skin ageing.  Air pollution, sunlight, smoking, alcohol, pesticides and poor nutrition all expose you to free radicals ,so having anti-oxidants in your skin care, as well as in your diet, can be really beneficial. They limit the damage caused, so make sure your diet is full of blueberries, Argan oil, green tea, dark chocolate and even red wine, to name a few great sources. Looking at skin care, choose products that contain Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Turmeric for an anti-oxidant boost.  Using them at night as well as in the morning is a must as they help fight and repair the ongoing damage that was caused during the day and help stimulate your own body’s antioxidants. So basically think of it as using them in the morning to prevent damage and overnight to repair
